How to get to Malpensa from Milan

All of you will have happened at least once to take a plane from Milan Malpensa , the largest airport in the north.
National and international flights depart from Malpensa every day. Think that the airport is second in Italy for passenger traffic, after Rome-Fiumicino.
At Malpensa there are two terminals , the busiest Terminal 1 and the least busy Terminal 2 , from which all flights of the low-cost airline EasyJet depart.
Malpensa airport is about fifty kilometers from the center of Milan .
But how to achieve it? The airport is easily accessible both by car and by public transport. Here are our tips for your next trip from Malpensa.

By car

The most practical and convenient solution to reach the airport, to avoid depending on the timetables and unexpected events of public transport, is to reach the airport by car. The car is more practical as you can drive directly to the airport or airport parking and on your return you will not have to worry about rushing to take public transport.

How to get there: directions

The airport is well connected to highways and easily accessible from all directions.

  • Coming from the North East you will take the A8 motorway. It is recommended to exit at Busto Arsizio – Malpensa and continue along the SS336 to Gallarate – Malpensa.
  • For those coming from the A4 , the exit is Marcallo Mesero up to the SS336 towards Malpensa A8 Milano Varese.

Useful Tips: where to park your car

There are various solutions. Directly at the airport you have several parking spaces available, all of which are quite expensive (The cheapest Long Term starts from € 50 per week).
A particularly recommended solution is to use a satellite car park near the airport. Among the parking solutions in Malpensa we suggest Parkos , which offers decidedly advantageous rates (a week of parking in Malpensa costs only € 21).
You can choose to use the shuttle bus service (which takes you from the parking lot to the airport for free) or the car valet service (a chauffeur will come to pick up your car at the airport departures and will have it ready for arrivals upon your return) .
